Varsity Head Coach - Alex Gorman


Coach Gorman is an experienced lacrosse player and coach. He is a member of the Danish National Lacrosse team, which competed in the World Championships in 2006.  Most recently, he coached at West Springfield High School before coming to TJ in 2008.

He is a Philadelphia native and graduate of Lower Merion H.S. While at Lower Merion, he played for their nationally ranked soccer team and lacrosse team. After high school Mr. Gorman attended Guilford College, where he lettered four years for the lacrosse team and served as captain his senior year, finishing 11th on the all-time goal scoring charts.

Upon graduating Mr. Gorman began his coaching career in soccer and lacrosse in his hometown before heading off to Washington DC to teach PE at Sidwell Friends School and continue coaching lacrosse. After three years at Sidwell, Mr. Gorman began his graduate studies at Trinity University and continued coaching at the St. Albans School. Upon earning his Master's Degree Mr. Gorman went to West Springfield H.S. as a counselor in the School Counseling Department.





Assistant Varsity Coach - Jim Condon

This is Coach Jim Condon's 7th season working with TJ Lacrosse. Jim grew up playing the game on Long Island, went to Johns Hopkins where he played 2 years (JV) before he tore up his knee but was a member of the 1978 NCAA Division 1 National Champions. He then was assistant coach (defense) at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison campus, for 2 years. When Jim and his family moved to Virginia in 1996, he began coaching again in the Great Falls Youth program. He was named National Youth Coach of the Year (Men's) in 2005.
